Leading up to this interview I was thinking about who would be on the top of my list to sit down with, and I honestly can't place anybody ahead of Will Ferrell. His rise to comedic stardom began with "Saturday Night Live" and his slew of hilarious reoccurring characters. "It took 5 years before people had realized I'd been on there for more than a season," Ferrell recalls. After catapulting films like Old School and Anchorman to the status of cult phenomena, he sits alone atop the world of comedy, using new projects as vehicles to push his brand of humor.

He stars as Jackie Moon in his latest movie, Semi-Pro, a man who owns, coaches, manages and plays for the Flint Tropics of the now defunct ABA. "I was nine when the ABA folded, so I wasn't paying too much attention to that," Ferrell concedes. "But I love the history of the league! Some of the stories are more extreme than what happened in the movie. Someone actually wrestles a bear at a Pacers game, and players were really traded for washing machines."

Ferrell played a lot of sports growing up, and even holds a record for field goal kicking in high school, which may be the reason for his recent string of sport comedies. He studied sports journalism at USC, but no longer holds any bad feelings against the University of Texas for losing in the 2006 Rose Bowl. "It's really great to at least be apart of what is arguably the greatest football game ever played."

With the hit single "Love Me Sexy" in Semi-Pro, Ferrell says you will be the first to know that he is going on tour with Justin Timberlake. "I'm going to opening for him, and then closing for him. You see he brought sexy back, and I'm loving them sexy, so it's the Bringing Love Me Sexy Back Tour." I might have to see that one to believe it.

When his huge amount of success is brought up, Ferrell jokingly says "Yeah, I'm huge." But as much as he may be kidding, it's true, and as long as he keeps making movies I know I'll keep getting excited about seeing them. And then loving them sexy.
